Some of the advantages of sketching wireframes are the speed that you can jot down ideas, flexibility in which you can draw things out (e.g. high/low detail, high/low concept ideas, full thought process), and there are limited distractions so you can focus on structure rather than visual design. The disadvantages are that you can't duplicate your work easily. There is no master design that you can copy and paste, and it is also harder to make edits. Sketching is also non-interactive so you can't use animations or if you want images, you have to draw them yourself. It is also impossible to just hit undo and go back to a previous version. You also could just be a bad artist, so your wireframe might look pretty ugly.
I think the best wireframing style for my project is sketching. It is the most comprehensible for me and doesn't require having to learn new software. My project is also not that complicated so I don't think that editing will be that big of a deal.
